Corporate regulation deals with rules and regulations of companies 

The course Business Regulation provides an understanding of the legal framework within which businesses operate in India. It familiarizes students with the fundamental laws that govern commercial transactions and business conduct. The course covers key legislations such as the Indian Contract Act, 1872, Sale of Goods Act, 1930, and the Information Technology Act, 2000.

Students learn about essential legal concepts including contracts, agency, indemnity, guarantee, bailment, sale of goods, consumer rights, and cyber regulations. The course aims to develop awareness of legal obligations, ethical responsibilities, and the rights of business entities and consumers. By the end of the course, students may be able to identify legal issues in business situations, understand their implications, and apply suitable legal principles in decision-making.

The course “Management Principles and Applications” introduces students to the fundamental concepts, functions, and practices of management. It covers key principles developed by thinkers like Henry Fayol and F.W. Taylor and explains their relevance in modern organizations. Students learn essential managerial functions such as planning, organizing, staffing, directing, and controlling, along with leadership, motivation, communication, and coordination techniques. The course also explores contemporary approaches like contingency theory and modern organizational designs. Through case studies, group projects, management games, and institutional visits, students develop practical skills in decision-making, teamwork, and leadership essential for effective management practice.
